"He was such a great panelist. One of the best that came to our shows. We are yet to accept that he is gone," he said.

Amisi described his friend, who unsuccessfully vied for an MCA seat in Nyaribari Chache in the 2017 General Election, as a great pal and community organiser.

"He was a man of the people. He was a great debater, and people loved listening to him. His mastery of the Queen's language led many to believe he had stayed abroad and didn't know he was living in Kisii. He was already ready whenever he came on show, and everyone would listen to him whenever he debated," Amisi recalled.

He added that they were still grappling with the loss of the great man.

"His death is a big loss to many, us and others, especially the young aspiring politicians,” he said.

"We were shocked by his death. Issues of health you cannot know unless someone opens up to you. You can't say something you don't know. His death was sudden. He has been very healthy until three days ago and was even seen by friends. If he had had kidney issues, we could have seen him sick. Whatever hit him was some monster," Amisi said.
