The mighty Kenyan boys were defeated in the quarter finals, leaving Kenyans heartbroken after being eliminated.
The match started with a draw after extra time, and Kenya took an early lead in the second half.

Kenyans never miss a chance to troll ‘jirani’, and the beef was recently escalated by the tournament.
The two countries would have gone head-to-head if they both reached the finals.
Tanzanians were on a roll when Kenya was defeated, claiming that they were playing in English.
Samidoh was among the celebrities who took to social media to apologise to our neighbouring country after Harambee’s defeat.

Samidoh noted that Kenyans weren’t serious when trolling them earlier in the week.
“Juhudi si pato watoto wa Mama Samia pokeeni pole zetu ilikuwa maongeo tu! Naenda kujipatia pole. (Effort is not wealth. Children of Mama Samia, accept our apologies, it was just talk! I’m going to console myself.)"
How did Kenyan celebs react to Kenya's defeat?
Samidoh wasn't the only celebrity who reacted to Kenya's loss. Some celebrities, however, waited for Tanzania's game against Morocco to speak.
MCSK's boss, Ezekiel Mutua, hilariously noted that he was waiting for Morocco's win.
"Suluhu ni moja tu sasa: wacha Tanzania wafungwe na Morocco tutoshane ndio tuishi vizuri kama majirani going forward! (There’s only one solution now: let Tanzania be beaten by Morocco, then we’ll be even and live well as neighbours going forward.)"

MP Jalang'o asked President William Ruto to still give the players the houses he had promised when they advanced in the tournament. He wrote:
"My boss, the boys have tried! Made the country to dream and hope again! Kindly make them proud! You can still kindly award them each a 3-bedroom affordable house! I know you can your excellency!!"
