Jamila’s sales background
In April, Jamila divulged that she started as a salesperson after joining IQRA FM in 200. She then became a newsreader and reporter at the station.

“At the time I had no media training. My competence was in IT from the Diploma I had. Nevertheless, my desire and passion opened the door for me,” she said.
According to Jamila, her passion and purpose led her to her current position at Royal Media Services, where she is a managing editor and senior news anchor.
Jamila said IQRA FM gave her the launching pad in a move that saw her get a job at Nation Media Group (NMG) as a news anchor, where she worked for 16 years.
“NMG was where I leveraged the opportunity to advance my career and went back to school to attain my Bachelors and Masters degrees,” Jamila revealed.
