Kenya Vs Tanzania: Where it all started
It all started a week ago, when Tanzania President Samia Suluhu's government prohibited Martha Karua, Boniface Mwangi and other activists from entering the country to follow on Tundu Lissu's case.

They were held at the airport and later deported.
Boniface Mwangi and a Ugandan activist were held incommunicado for days, before they were later unceremoniously deported, after undergoing alleged torture at the hands of Tanzanian authorities.
Kenyans, being Kenyans, called out Suluhu over the mistreatment of Kenyan activists, and this would set the stage for the current online confrontation between KoX and Tanzanian MPs.
While on the floor of their House in Dodoma, Tanzanian MPs delivered strong rebukes against the activists, going further to verbally attack Kenyans who disrespected Suluhu.
However, unbeknownst to the legislators, they had just opened a can of worms, as Kenyans on X (KoX), who were formerly Kenyans on Twitter (KoT), are known to leave no stones unturned while dealing with their detractors.

WhatsApp chats from KoX
In no time, KoX obtained the phone numbers of the MPs, and they sent their infamous 'greetings'.
In now viral WhatsApp chats, Kenyans particularly picked a bone with MP Jesca Msambatavu, who viciously insinuated Kenyans have reduced intellectual capacity during her submission in the Dodoma parliament.
While some KoX opted for polite messages while asking Tanzanian MPs to cease talking about Kenyans in their National Assembly, others went for the jugular, insulting the MPs in what is now being described as 'aura for aura'.
Here are some of the leaked WhatsApp chats. Try not to laugh!
Tanzania MP confirms receiving Kenyans' messages
Some Kenyans even tried calling, daring the MPs to pick up and reiterate their statements to them.
MP Jesca has already confirmed receiving the 'greetings' of Kenyans, and she promised to continue engaging with those who are reaching out to her.
"I want to thank my friends from Kenya. I texted with them until 3am. I want to tell them that once I return, we shall continue with our discussion. For those insulting us, I want to tell those Gen-Zs that a debate is only countered with another, not with insults. You can even create a WhatsApp group and add me," she said.
President Ruto apologises to Tanzanians
This comes as President William Ruto apologised to Tanzania over the deportation row that continues to simmer between the two neighbouring nations.
In a move that has sparked mixed reactions, the president sent an apology to Tanzania,
"Our neighbours, Tanzania, if we have wronged you, please forgive us," he said during the National Prayer breakfast meeting, as the attendees burst into laughter.
However, many Kenyans reacted, saying he should not have apologised, since Tanzanian MPs spoke against the country.
Kenyans mull boycotting Tanzanian music
As earlier reported, Kenyans are also considering boycotting Tanzania's bongo music as the row between the two countries escalates.
Tanzanian musicians like Diamond and Ali Kiba have a fanatical following in Kenya, but this latest dispute now threatens to dismantle their fan base.
Many Kenyans said it was only fair to avoid their music after the onslaught that their MPs launched against Kenya.
