The Standard Newspaper published the names of those allegedly involved in a WhatsApp group that had hired goons to infiltrate the protests.
Is Joy Mdivo part of group hiring goons?
Among those named was Mdivo and staunch ODM supporter Gaucho, but the preacher's daughter has denied any involvement.
She is also threatening to seek legal action against the paper for what she has termed "defamatory remarks" against her.
She wrote:
"I belong to no such WhatsApp group, nor have I made any such utterances in public or in private. For @StandardKenya to insinuate that I am planning to kill Kenyans is as untrue as it is defamatory. My lawyers have their instructions."

What did alleged goons' leader say?
In a different report, a Kenyan TikToker known as Salim Swaleh recently apologised after it emerged he was allegedly among the people paid to stop the police brutality protests.
Swaleh had shared a video on TikTok warning Kenyans against the protests, saying they would not allow them to happen.
However, days later, he changed tune and even apologised before fleeing Nairobi for fear of being attacked.
He said that he is now supporting those fighting for their rights and acknowledged his mistakes.
