The head of state and former prime minister, Raila Odinga, are attending the burial of Kilifi governor Gideon Mung’aro’s father.
Mzee Mung'aro breathed his last on June 15.
The moment has gone viral on social media, sparking mixed reactions immediately.
Some saw it as a breach of decorum given the solemnity of the burial, while others noted that it could have been an urgent state matter.

He consoled Mung'aro with a touching message, remembering Mzee Mung'aro as an industrious leader.

"Our condolences to Governor Gideon Mung’aro for the loss of his father, Mzee Gideon Mung’aro Senior. He was a respected, progressive and industrious leader. The family, friends and the people of Kilifi are in our prayers at this painful time. With former prime minister Raila Odinga and other leaders for the funeral service of Mzee Mung’aro, Dabaso, Kilifi County."

She asked them to carry different t-shirts and change so that they remain unidentifiable.
Was Arrow Bwoy whipped by the police during protests?
Singer Arrow Bwoy had a tough time while trying to access the CBD in the company of rapper Khaligraph Jones.
Police tried to block the musicians, and in a viral clip, Khaligraph could be heard telling the police they were together.
The two had an altercation with the group of police officers, and one pulled out his whip and beat an unarmed Arrow Bwoy.
Another police officer threw a tear gas canister at them, forcing Khaligraph to run for his life. Arrow Bwoy's wife, Nadia Mukami, reposted the video, calling out the police for assaulting her husband.
The Mazishi rapper condemned police brutality, taking a swipe at them for attacking peaceful protestors.
The angry mum, who is heavily pregnant, called for the end of police brutality. Her post saw several celebrities rebuke the police for assaulting peaceful protestors.
