Did the owners of the houses react?

Some of the young men started breaking the doors using their weapons, such as crowbars, and they kept hitting the doors.

No one could tell if there were people in the houses because apart from the shuffling noise made by the goons going and coming out, there was only the incessant hitting with crow bars, and only silence from the inside.

Given that many people were at home and their children didn't go to school, many Kenyans opined that they may have been terrified inside there, especially when they learnt that no one was coming to their rescue.

How did Kenyans react to the house vandalism?

Maxwell Alusa:

"Let us first agree we don't have peaceful demonstrations in this country first. The way those goons are engaging with the police officers and the people who are not demonstrating it's clear they are not peaceful. They should be dealt with seriously."
