The lawmaker was the chief guest at a function attended by parents and the extended school community.
He was heard calling out the educators over supposed complacency, accusing them of laxity in their roles at the school, hence dismal academic performance.

The MP paraded the teachers in front of their learners and parents as he gave them lectures regarding their movements in the school.
Shabir was heard threatening to initiate their dismissal without regard for their employer, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
He alluded to planting spies in the school to monitor the teachers and their movements, warning that he would fire and replace them with their unemployed colleagues.
"I am asking for your records. I want to know the time you report to school and what you are doing. I will put somebody here without you knowing (to monitor you). We are going to waste our time with TSC. Parents allow me to chase them away. I have a list of hundreds of unemployed teachers," he declared.
The climax of the lawmaker's public shaming of the Kindu teachers was his dressing down of a male educator whom he singled out because of his standing posture.
Shabir was aggrieved that the teacher did not stand in a way that pleased him.
He summoned the visibly downbeat teacher to where he was and embarked on a callous roast, this as learners and parents watched in silence.

"How dare you. Who the hell are you? What is your name? Others are standing well, what about you?" he fired at the teacher as he sank his eyes on the ground under under the weight of embarrassment.
Shabir adds to the list of Kenyan politicians who have leveraged their positions to humiliate public servants.
Three years back, TUKO.co.ke reported on Gatundu South MP Gabriel Kagombe, who was filmed going on a rampage to reprimand a police officer undertaking his duties.

While speaking to his constituents gathered awaiting Wamatangi's arrival, Kagombe had an encounter with the police officer who switched off the MP's microphone, sparking a strong reaction from him.
Kagombe had not been slated to speak at the function.
In the moment of anger, the lawmaker started hurling epithets at the officer who had all along maintained his calm.
An uncontrollable Kagombe fired;
"Why are you addressing here? Why are you switching off the microphone? Can you get out of this place? Who elected you?".
The MP's supporters rallied behind him, openly criticising the police officer whose colleagues watched at a distance without any intervention.
With the backing of his supporters, Kagombe was even determined to go physical as he was seen advancing toward the officer to push him back.
Despite the aggression, the officer stood his ground and barred the politician from speaking using the PA system.
The MP would later allege that officers were acting under the instructions of Wamatangi; he accused the governor of using the police to frustrate dissent.
