He narrated how he was brought up by his grandmother after his parents passed away when he was two months old.

"Twenty-five (25) years ago, a needy, desperate boy landed in this institution barefoot and armed with a padlock only.
"Born in a remote village in the western region, and raised by a fairly aged paternal grandmother after losing his father two months before birth and his mother leaving him desolate under a tree at the tender age of 6 months," Amisi narrated.

The lawmaker credits his former primary school teacher, Zablon Sagara, whom he said secured him a scholarship at the prestigious school.

"He emerged as a top student in the Western region, which led him to secure a scholarship at the prestigious Starehe Boys Centre through the good efforts of his primary headmaster, Zablon Sagara," he said.

What did Caled Amisi advise youths?

The youthful lawmaker said his visit to his former school reminds him that everything is possible in the presence of God, given that he is now an elected member of parliament despite his humble background.

"Today, he returned to the institution as an elected member of parliament. His name is Caleb Amisi Luyai, aka Kijana power. Those who doubt the presence of God in our lives should consult him. It is never done until it is done.

During the visit, he met four youths whom he sponsored, and they are now awaiting to join the University of Nairobi to study Pharmacy.

"Samuel Odhiambo Owino, Casper Wanjala Musungu, Micah Chacha, and Nicholas Mainge hail from Matisi, Saboti Constituency, and they are beneficiaries of my revolutionary Educate the Needy program. They are joining UoN to study Pharmacy and other courses, and they now join the Alumni Association of Starehe Boys Centre. The little effort we make in our service to humanity is what keeps us going," he noted.

Amisi noted that NG-CDF had done great to uplift the lives of many vulnerable people, adding that due to the unfair sharing of national resources, NG-CDF has been only way of ensuring disadvantaged areas have access to facilities such as better roads.
