Citizen Digital reported that the woman was allegedly killed in her residential house by her 16-year-old son on Friday, July 25.
Did the Molo minor confess to killing his mother?
The victim’s brother filed a report at the Elburgon Police Station, stating that his sister had been murdered in her house.

Police officers from the station and detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Molo rushed to the scene, where they found the middle-aged woman dead.

Police arrested the minor, a Form Three dropout, and upon interrogation, he confessed to killing his mother.
On Saturday, July 26, the suspect had dug a shallow grave within an adjacent house in the compound and was allegedly planning to bury the body on Sunday, July 27, morning.
How did Molo boy kill his mother?
A police report from Elburgon Police Station indicates that the minor quarrelled with his mother on Friday, July 25, at around 1pm.
According to the report, the minor demanded to know his biological father, but the mother refused to disclose the information.
The 16-year-old boy was agitated by his mother's refusal to share details about his father, and in turn, he allegedly hit her head several times, killing her instantly.
The deceased’s body was taken to Elburgon Level IV Hospital mortuary for preservation.

In other sad news, a family in Bomet was thrown into mourning following the brutal killing of Beatrice Chepkemoi.
The mother of two, who was expectant, was allegedly killed by her husband inside their home following a domestic dispute.
The victim’s brother, Hillary Chirchir, said the family was traumatised after they stumbled upon Beatrice’s lifeless body.
Witnesses said they heard the woman wailing in pain as her husband allegedly assaulted her behind closed doors.
When neighbours rushed to Beatrice's house, they found it locked from the inside, with the suspect barricaded in with her body.
How lady killed her 71-year-old mother in Makueni
In another tragic incident, a 71-year-old woman was allegedly brutally murdered by her daughter in Matililu village in Makueni county.
The DCI issued a statement indicating that Kamanthe Makato allegedly killed her mother, Mukeli Makato.
Preliminary investigations showed that a misunderstanding erupted between the two, leading to Kamanthe allegedly violently attacking her mother using a panga.
A grandchild, who witnessed the incident, fled and called neighbours for her grandmother's help, but when well-wishers arrived, she was already dead.
