According to the police report seen by TUKO.co.ke, a police officer attached to Kanyonyoo Police Station allegedly killed his girlfriend and another woman on Sunday, July 3.
Who is Bernard Siambe?
According to the police report, the suspect, identified as Police Constable Bernard Siambe, was assigned to the report office but reportedly sneaked out with an AK-47 rifle loaded with 30 rounds of ammunition.
A member of the public called the Kanyonyoo Police Station OCS and informed him about the shooting.
"The OCS and team while preparing to visit the scene, were called by one Jacqueline Mbithe who informed them that she had received information that the person in uniform had shot two ladies The OCS and Team rushed to the scene and established that one of the officers No. 250551 PC Bernard Siambe who had been assigned duties at the report office," the police report read.
Whom did Bernard Siambe kill in Kitui?
Siambe stormed Password Bar, where he found his girlfriend, Joy Mutisya, having fun with his friends and started causing chaos.
Sensing danger, Mutisya fled and sought refuge in a nearby house belonging to Janet Ndanu, but still the officer followed her.
According to witnesses, the officers stormed Janet's house and shot dead Mutisya and her other friend, identified as Judy, before fleeing.

"The girlfriend had sort refuge in a house within the plot in a house of Janet Ndanu and in the process ,the officer shot her and another woman, only identified as Judy. All victims are female adults," the report read.
Senior officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Lower Yatta and Kitui visited the scene, where they recovered three spent cartridges of 7.62mm special ammunition.
According to the report, the suspect later called his OCS and directed him to where the weapon was before escaping into a nearby thicket.
"The assailant communicated with OCS, who he informed where he had dropped the rifle. Quick action was taken, and a search commenced, where the rifle was recovered in a thicket beside the road heading to Matuu. Also, a magazine was recovered with 26 rounds of ammunition. Officers pursued the assailant towards Matuu, and he was spotted walking towards Matuu and escaped immediately into the nearby thickets. Search was mounted and he is not yet arrested," the report stated.
