Kenyans Question CS Davis Chirchir's Silence after over 40 Accident Deaths in 2 Days

Road and Transport Cabinet Secretary (CS) Davis Chirchir is on the receiving end after several increased accidents that have so far claimed the lives of over 40 people within a week.

Kenyans are now asking where the CS is and why he has yet to address the public and share any new directives to mitigate any serious accidents.
How many accidents have happened in August?
Since August began, different accidents have been reported across the country, including a plane crash carrying medics who were en route to Somalia.

The AMREF plane crashed in Mwihoko, shortly after leaving Wilson Airport, killing four people aboard and two who were in the ground.
Earlier, TUKO.co.ke also reported that 25 people died in an accident that happened along the Kisumu-Kakamega highway involving a 51-seater AIC Naki Secondary School bus that was ferrying mourners.
The CS sent his messages of condolences to the families who lost their loved ones, attracting backlash.
There was also panic after a school bus that was heading for music festivals in Meru crashed, leaving rescue operations ongoing.
Although no death was reported, the injured students and teachers were rushed to the nearby hospitals.
The Kenya Pipeline Company also lost eight employees after a cargo train rammed into their bus in Morendat, Naivasha.
According to eyewitnesses, the train dragged the bus for a few minutes before coming to a stop.

Radio Maisha and KTN's DJ Darious also tragically lost his mother and father in an accident that happened on August 6 after the car they were travelling in got involved in a fatal head-on collision with a truck along the Bomet-Nakuru highway.

Why did DJ Darius visit the police station?
Elsewhere, Radio Maisha's DJ Darius visited a police station to see the wreckage of the car that claimed the lives of his parents, Josiah and Hellen Biyongo.
The couple had been travelling to Nairobi to celebrate the graduation of their other son, journalist Edwin Nyarangi, when the fatal accident occurred.
Darius shared poignant photos of the twisted metal and shattered glass, calling it a heartbreaking reminder of the moment that forever changed his life.
