A video shared online showed residents milling around the wreckage as others attempted to rescue individuals believed to be trapped inside.

In the footage, a shocked bystander was heard asking whether there were fatalities, to which another person responded that one individual who was feared dead was still inside the vehicle.
Reports suggested the victim was the driver of the ill-fated truck, though details on whether the body had been recovered were yet to be confirmed by authorities.
The incident added to growing public concern over the recent surge in road accidents across the country, which have claimed multiple lives in the past few days.

Kisumu family loses 13 relatives in Coptic Roundabout accident
Elsewhere, a family in Kisumu was thrown into mourning after 26 relatives died in a tragic accident at the Coptic Roundabout in Kisumu.
Thirteen of the deceased were closely related, as another 26 remained hospitalised following the horrifying tragedy.
A woman, Florence Akoth, bitterly lamented following the loss of all her close relatives who were returning from the burial of their kin in Nyahera.
Kisumu governor Anyang' Nyong'o urged the government to consider redesigning the structure of the road, which had become a blackspot for a long time.
Meanwhile, despite the rising number of road accidents, Transport Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir is yet to address incidents that have claimed nearly 50 lives this August.
