Apart from the fines, CAF warned that continued breach of the security regulations may lead to the relocation of Kenya National Team matches to alternative venues.
“The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) Disciplinary Board met to deliberate on various matters relating to the ongoing TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (“CHAN”) PAMOJA 2024.
“The Disciplinary Board found Kenya guilty and imposed a fine of USD 50,000. Kenya was warned that continued failure to meet CAF safety and security requirements may lead to the relocation of Kenya’s National Team matches to an alternative venue,” CAF wrote.
In the statement, the continental football body asked the FKF TO increase security measures by deploying sufficient personnel within the perimeter of the stadium.
Where will Harambee Stars play if Kasarani is banned?
CAF also wants all roads leading to Kasarani Stadium closed ahead of the Harambee Stars vs Zambia match.
“Kenya was advised to increase security measures by deploying sufficient personnel within the perimeter of the stadium as well as adhering to the road closures on match day,” CAF said.
If the country fails to act on the issues raised by CAF, Harambee Stars' remaining games might be held in Uganda, Tanzania or Zanzibar.
The new conditions have elicited mixed reactions from Kenyans, given Harambee Stars has a high chance of qualifying for the next round of the CHAN 2024 games.

"This happens because the politicians buy tickets and fail to give them to real fans of the game.."
@thee_alfa_house:
"Hoarding tickets should be banned, the guys who buy more tickets to sell them double the price will cost Kenya."
@AlchemistKenya
"That is pocket change that even. @kipmurkomen can pay. The fine should be way above KSh 7 billion

"But why is there hoarding of tickets?"

"Fair enough, I don't think Kenyans will make the same mistake twice."
What message did Murkomen send to Harambee Stars fans?
In related news, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen issued a strong warning against Kenyans ahead of the CHAN game.
In a statement on Tuesday, August 12, Murkomen asked football fans without tickets for the Harambee Stars match against Zambia to keep off the Kasarani Stadium.
Murkomen urged the public to comply with the requirements of CAF.
