Migori: 37-Year-Old Man Killed At Woman’s House in Suspected Love Triangle

A 37-year-old man has been killed in the North East Kadem location, Nyatike sub-county Migori county, in what is suspected to be a love triangle involving a married woman.

The incident occurred when the deceased confronted another man at the woman's house, where both had allegedly been involved in a secret affair.
Two Migori men fight at a woman's house
Reports indicate that a fight broke out between the two on Sunday, March 31, which ultimately led to the man's tragic death.
According to the area chief Voshastar Akal, the deceased, identified as Kevin Ouma, succumbed to panga injuries, while the other man, Johnson Ochieng, also sustained serious panga injuries.
“The two met at the house of a woman with whom they have been unknowingly having secret affairs when the fight ensued,” Akal told TUKO.co.ke.
The chief noted that preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased had a date with the woman at her house on the night of the incident.
However, the other man showed up at the house a few hours later, after which a fight broke out between them.
“The other man sustained serious injuries during the altercation and is currently hospitalised at Migori Level Four Hospital,” the area chief said.

Following the incident, the family of the deceased is reported to have stormed the house of the woman at the centre of the conflict and set it on fire.
The woman, 35, has since gone into hiding with her children following the incident.
“The woman is married, but her husband is away working outside Migori county. The matter is under investigation by the police,” the chief added.
The body of the deceased was moved to the Migori Level Four Hospital as it awaits postmortem to facilitate the ongoing police probe.

The Tanzanian man is reported to have left the lifeless body of his wife on two stools in the house alongside a letter detailing her alleged mistakes.
A family member of the deceased said that after committing the heinous act, the man reached out to them, explaining where he had left the body and the note.
