Wanga and a section of leaders visited Were's Kachien home in Kasipul.

She noted that the meeting was to prepare for the legislature's final journey.

When she landed at Were's home, she was welcomed by a massive crowd with some women weeping.

She was in the company of Millie Odhiambo and other prominent leaders.

Wanga was moved to tears while in Were's compound, and was captured weeping painfully.

In another photo, she was seen hugging Were's first wife, Margaret, wearing yellow attire.

The MP had two wives.

She captioned the post:

"At the late Hon. Charles Ong'ondo Were's Kachien home in Central Kasipul. What a loss! It’s crucial that we come together as we prepare for his final journey. May the Almighty guide us through this process."

What happened to Ong'ondo Were?

TUKO.co.ke had previously reported that the MP was assassinated on April 30.

According to police reports, the incident happened at around 7:30 pm.

A gunman, riding as a passenger on a motorcycle, approached the car and fired multiple shots at close range before fleeing the scene.

Were was rushed to Nairobi Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Kenyans shared their condolence messages for the family.
