An unidentified man, believed to be from Kisumu county, reportedly stabbed his former lover five times in the head before intentionally ramming into a moving lorry on the Kitale–Eldoret highway, dying on the spot.
According to the area’s acting chief, Moses Shiundu, the tragic incident occurred shortly after the couple left a local Busaa club, where the woman worked.
Witnesses reported a heated argument between the two as they walked toward the woman’s home, which escalated into a violent confrontation.
“The couple had lived together in Kisumu county for about two years before separating: The woman, identified as Nancy, had been living alone until this tragic encounter,” Chief Shiundu told TUKO.co.ke.
Eyewitnesses claimed the man began assaulting Nancy following a verbal altercation. He then drew a knife and stabbed her multiple times in the head, leaving her bleeding heavily and collapsing near the school’s gate.
As concerned pedestrians approached to intervene, the man reportedly fled into the road and deliberately threw himself in front of an oncoming lorry heading toward Eldoret. He died instantly upon impact.
"When the man saw people coming to rescue the lady, he decided to ram into a lorry that was going towards Eldoret; it ran over him and killed him on the spot," Shiundu added.
