In related news, TUKO.co.ke reported that Kuria West police officers arrested three individuals suspected of throwing a shoe at the head of state.
According to authorities, the act may have been politically motivated and planned ahead of the president’s visit.
A police officer told TUKO.co.ke that the suspects are believed to be supporters of two rival lawmakers from the region.
