“The funeral mass and burial will be held on Tuesday, 3rd June 2025, at Holy Family Parish, Ol’lessos, Nandi Pastoral Region,” he added.
The date for his burial was announced on a day when a holy mass in his honour was conducted in honour of the late priest at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Cathedral in Eldoret city.
Bishop Dominic Kimengich presided over the mass, which several political leaders from the North Rift region also attended.
Speaking to the press after the mass, Kimengich said the murder incident should be an awakening call to the whole nation on the importance of life.
“This incident should help us to reflect on Kenyan society, how we have gone low in the sense that it seems life now doesn’t matter. Maybe God allowed this to happen so that we can understand that every life matters,” Bishop Kimengich said.
He also challenged the government to ensure all perpetrators of criminal activities are arrested and prosecuted.

The governor expressed concerns that for years, resources have been going into peace efforts at the expense of development.
“We are hoping that this will be the last drop of blood in this region and that there shall be development in the region for the benefit of our people,” Sang, who is also the North Rift Economic Bloc (NOREB) chairperson, said.
“People of Kerio Valley are receiving their share not for development and empowerment but for building peace, which is derailing the development processes in the region,” he added.
The Nandi governor further urged communities living in the volatile region to work with government agencies by providing information on those involved in activities likely to derail ongoing efforts to bring long-lasting peace.
