The laptops were reportedly stolen by goons who had broken into an electronics store in CBD during protests.

The officer, who was also armed, handed over the laptops to one of his colleagues, who was waiting in the vehicle.

The police vehicle, which had other officers aboard, left the scene, sparking questions about where they were taking the stolen laptops.

Other Kenyans came to the officers' defence, stating that they were retrieving the laptops that were stolen by goons.

How did Kenyans react to police leaving with laptops?

JOloo#SafetyFirst:

"Police are not your friend."

The Tech Buddha:

"Cops in this country are thieves, politicians are thieves. We need a cleansing."

"These officers captured carrying items borrowed without permission in the CBD must be arrested and charged. The government of President Ruto does not condone theft."

"This isn't just theft, it's betrayal of trust. The irony is that stolen goods won't fix their lives; any money gained will likely be squandered, doing nothing for their actual struggles or the systemic problems that push them to such acts."
