How Machakos AP attacked man at woman's house

He claimed that he had been invited by a woman, identified only as Faith, with whom they had been in a relationship, to her house.

But while asleep, he was allegedly ambushed by the officer, who is said to have been angered after learning the man was in the woman’s house.

“I was asleep when he stormed in. He hit me with a large stick and then stabbed me in the head and hand with a knife. I barely escaped with my life," he recounted.

The victim was rushed to the hospital by locals, together with the Kithimani Member of County Assembly (MCA), Paul Mwanzia, alias 'Bulldozer.' The man is currently nursing stab wounds, and his condition is reported to be stable.

The incident sparked outrage among residents, who demanded justice for the victim and disciplinary action against the officer.

The Area MCA condemned the incident, stating that it was unfortunate for a police officer, whose duty is to protect, to be involved in such a violent act.

"I was called by residents early in the morning, around 8, to help take the victim to the hospital. I’m shocked. From what I’ve gathered, the officer is married. Why would he fight another man over a woman?" asked Mwanzia.

He added that residents of Kithimani are following the case closely and vowed to show up in court on Monday, June 30, to ensure the suspect is charged.

"As locals, we want justice to be served. No one should be above the law, not even those in uniform," the MCA said.

Police have launched further investigations into the incident to establish the full circumstances surrounding the attack.
