“We stand before you with heavy hearts seeking justice, answers, and the safe return of our brother. Our family has been living in agony, uncertainty and fear since Hussein mysteriously vanished without a trace. We do not know whether he has been kidnapped, harmed, or is being held against his will. What we do know is that his disappearance is out of character, deeply alarming and demands his urgent attention from both the government and the public," said Osman.
They have reported the incident to police and relevant authorities, but no leads have emerged so far.
Osman described Hussein as a devoted father, loving husband, and committed public servant who had faithfully served the Wajir community.
“His sudden disappearance has left a deep void in our family, community, and workplace. He does not deserve to suffer in silence. We are desperate for answers,” Osman said, emphasising the emotional toll the disappearance has taken on Hussein's family.
According to Osman, Hussein's children reportedly "ask for their father daily," his wife is devastated, and his elderly parents are in despair.

The family suspects Hussein may have been kidnapped or is being held against his will, and is appealing to anyone with information to come forward.
"If he's been kidnapped, we plead with those holding him to let him come back to us unharmed. If there are individuals or groups with any information to come forward," he pleaded.
They are also urging government security agencies to treat the matter with urgency and transparency.
Local leaders have joined the family in calling for immediate action.
Wagberi MCA Aden Abdi Bule said Hussein’s disappearance must not be taken lightly, adding,
'This is a government officer heading a crucial institution. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), National Intelligence Service (NIS), and other agencies must act now."
