A video recorded in Busia county captured the moment a little boy was rescued by good Samaritans.

The child had fallen into a deep ditch, and his chances of getting out without help were almost none.

He was stuck in the deep, dark hole for a while as he waited for help to arrive and rescue him from the potentially dangerous environment.

Several people had gathered around the ditch, some peeping inside the deep hole.

It looked like a well, but fortunately, there was no water in it, a relief, as the boy could have drowned.

Little boy cries while being rescued from ditch

The men surrounding the ditch worked hastily to rescue the stranded boy.

They used a bucket and a rope, lowering it into the ditch so the boy could hop in and be lifted out.

The boy’s cries could be heard from afar as he pleaded with his rescuers to pull him out as quickly as they could.

They wasted no time, supporting one another in their efforts to see the boy safely rescued and reunited with his family.

When the bucket was lowered into the ditch, there was a brief, awkward moment with the child, but the rescuers encouraged him.

They gave him hope and gently urged him to get into the bucket, assuring him it was safe and that they would pull him out.

The boy obediently obliged, and they pulled the bucket up with the rope until they brought him safely to the surface.

Once the bucket reached the ground, they quickly carried the child out of it and were seen rushing him to a hospital.

Pupils die after latrine collapses in Uasin Gishu
