According to preliminary reports, the attackers viciously hacked him on the head, leaving him to bleed to death at the scene.

The chilling discovery was made by a good Samaritan who stumbled upon the officer’s body lying in a pool of blood along the roadside.

Authorities were immediately alerted, and officers from the Aram Police Station arrived at the scene shortly after to secure the area and begin investigations.

"A response team from this command, led by the Sub-County Police Commander, Rarieda, and accompanied by officers from DCI Rarieda, proceeded to the scene. The body was found lying by the roadside with visible deep cut wounds on the head. Adjacent to the body was a motorcycle bearing registration number KMES 735T (TVS make).
Preliminary inquiries established that the deceased had earlier escorted the reportee in the company of one Jackson Ochieng and was returning to Aram Shopping Centre. Their motorcycle reportedly ran out of fuel, prompting a call to the reportee for assistance. Upon arrival in his private vehicle, the reportee found the body of the officer and immediately made a report to the station," read the police report seen by TUKO.co.ke.
