In a post on her X account, Kagure expressed concern over how young people are often portrayed in a negative light, especially in light of recent anti-government protests.
She challenged the perception of youth as troublemakers, calling them problem-solvers and drivers of change. According to her, the capital cannot progress without intentionally placing the youth at the heart of its transformation.

She promised that if elected governor in 2027, young people in Nairobi would no longer be sidelined or used as a political prop.

Instead, they would have a seat at the table and play an active role in decision-making and service delivery.
Kagure also hinted at tapping into the city’s vibrant sports, tech, and creative economy to create jobs and empower more young Nairobians.
"In my incoming administration, the youth will not just be beneficiaries; they will be partners in transformation. From innovation hubs to job creation, sports and mentorship to leadership opportunities, we’re already working together to build a Nairobi where every young person can dream, act, and thrive," she said.
What is Agnes Kagure Foundation doing in Nairobi?
Kagure’s promises are not emerging from a vacuum. Over the years, she has established a presence in the community through the Agnes Kagure Foundation (AKF), a platform she says is committed to supporting young dreamers, especially in the business and innovation space.

TUKO.co.ke previously reported that she acknowledged the many obstacles that young people face when trying to actualise their ideas, including a lack of capital, poor mentorship, and limited platforms to showcase their talents.
But she maintained that no idea is too small or too ambitious to receive support, urging youth not to give up when progress feels slow.
Through AKF, Kagure said she was ready to help guide young entrepreneurs from concept to impact, offering the necessary tools, networks, and moral support.
She encouraged them to reach out and work with the foundation in building solutions that can uplift not only themselves but entire communities.
Her vision, she explained, is to raise a generation of empowered, self-reliant youth who can lead the charge in solving urban challenges and steering the city into a more inclusive and sustainable future.

As she builds momentum for her 2027 bid, Kagure has also taken aim at the current county leadership under Governor Johnson Sakaja.
In June, she issued a veiled critique of the administration’s performance, especially on issues like disaster response and urban planning.
Referring to recent flood incidents in the capital, Kagure used sarcasm and satire to call out what she viewed as Nairobi's lack of preparedness. She suggested that many of the city’s challenges are not natural but a result of poor leadership and reactive policies.
She argued that Nairobi residents deserve leadership that is strategic, results-oriented, and grounded in action, not optics.
