Judith Mukasya tearfully shared the last moments she had with her husband and how she found out about his death.

She narrated that her 44-year-old husband had left home for work at 1 pm and she was expecting him at around 10 pm or 11 pm, as was his usual routine.

“I waited for him, but he did not show up. I was bathing my child, preparing him for school in the morning, and I started to worry, wondering why he had not yet returned,” said Judith.

The grieving woman noted that one of her neighbours called her, saying someone had been killed and dumped by the roadside and asked her to accompany her to go and check it out.

“I told her not to say that, because my husband had gone to work and was yet to return. So I accompanied her, only to find that it was my husband,” she said amid tears.

A resident who knew the deceased called on the authorities to set up a police post in the area, noting that cases of insecurity had become rampant.

“We are very saddened by the brutal death of Geoffrey. These killings have become too much. If not, let them at least install street lights to help curb this issue,” he said.
