Nyandarua: The residents of Ol’ Joro Orok Constituency are reeling in shock after 24-year-old Angela Muthoni was brutally murdered in 64 Estate.

Muthoni was allegedly killed by her boyfriend, identified as Alex Ndung'u, on July 16. Ndung'u is now a suspect in Muthoni's murder.

According to a report by Citizen Digital, Ndung'u reportedly committed the crime and hired a tuk-tuk, which was used to transport Muthoni's body to a nearby medical facility.

He was later referred to the Nyahururu County Referral Hospital, where he received confirmation that his lover had been dead for hours.

The family of the deceased stated that they came to know about Muthoni's death after receiving a distressing phone call.

What caused Angela Muthoni's death?

Upon carrying out a postmortem on Muthoni's body, it was discovered that she had died due to neck compression and blunt force trauma to the head.

The 24-year-old also had visible bruises on her face.

The young lady's heartbroken mother could not hide her pain when speaking about her daughter.

She expressed the deep pain she felt following the void that had been left by her daughter as a result of her untimely death.

The family of the deceased further urged the government to ensure that justice prevails and the perpetrators behind the crime are brought to book.

Ndung'u and four other accomplices are currently in police custody as investigations into the murder of Muthoni continue.

The deceased, identified as Adeline Mbuna, stopped by her boyfriend's house on February 13 while on her way to buy rice.

Telespholi Ngilangwa, who is the area chief, confirmed the incident, noting that Adeline was attacked on Valentine's Eve.

Additionally, the chief stated that Adeline's body was dragged into a maize plantation after she was murdered.

The police found the money she was going to use to purchase the rice next to the body of the deceased.

According to reports, Adeline had reportedly refused to stay with her lover after her parents stated that they were against the affair.

This raised suspicion about the man's alleged involvement in Adeline's untimely death.
