In other news, President William Ruto backed police officers dealing with violent protests, directing them to shoot looters in the legs to stop destruction, then take them to the hospital before arraigning them in court.

He stressed that the directive was meant to protect property and maintain order, warning politicians allegedly behind the unrest of dire consequences. However, Kenyan Gen Z responded with characteristic humour and creativity.

A video from Zetech University went viral, showing students dancing to a new song titled Risasi Ya Mguu. The playful routine involved synchronised limping moves mimicking someone shot in the leg, set to a catchy beat.

The dance quickly became a trend on social media, with many praising the youthful generation’s ability to turn even tense political moments into entertainment.
