The family and the friends of the deceased were sidelined from the session, leaving them with no option but to watch from a distance as their kin was buried in a rather bizarre manner.
Did boda riders cause chaos at Muema's burial?
This occurred after a group of boda boda riders, who also happened to be Muema's colleagues, interrupted the funeral service that was being held on Monday, July 28.
Muema had died in a grisly accident that happened after two motorcycles were involved in a head-on collision.
The riders brought the Tala area to a complete standstill as they rode in large numbers on bodas.
They then headed to the accident scene between Tala and Kangundo in a way of honouring Muema.
The riders then boldly made an entrance at the funeral service, making hand gestures that surprised the family and friends at the premises.
What followed later surprised Muema's family even more as the riders insisted that the casket be placed on two motorbikes and not a table as earlier planned.
"When the funeral service was over and the time to inter the body had arrived, the young men rose and picked the body as they screamed. Others even removed their shirts," Muema's dad said.

Was Muema's family chased away from funeral?
The family and clergy were then chased away from the premises as the boda rider took over the funeral. The riders then opened the casket as they smoked bhang and drank alcohol.
"They poured alcohol on him and I am even sure that they even gave him bhang. I don't know if a body can take bhang. I don't know if a dead person can take alcohol. They are the only ones that know. They even brought a motorbike and turned it several times, making it splash soil at the grave site," the father added.
Muema's dad stated that the drama lasted for approximately an hour before things went quiet again.
"As a parent, I felt sad. I wanted to lay my child to rest appropriately. I was denied that right. I didn't even get the chance to throw soil on my son's grave. I didn't give him my final respects," the father said.

The local authorities and members of the clergy have since come forward to condemn the bizarre actions that took place at the funeral.
How did disturbance affect Muema's family?
The deceased's sister, Zenah Kambua, expressed their sadness after not getting to bury their loved one as initially planned.
She decried that her brother's body was brought to the homestead and not through the gate as required.
The family could only pay their final respects to their kin after the boda riders left the scene.
They also expressed their disappointment, as they distanced themselves from the drama that occurred at their son's funeral service.
