He then appears to hand over the device to another individual who was not captured on camera.
Who is the owner of the stolen TV?
The shop owner, Linus Owiti, took to social media to appeal for help in identifying the suspect.
“A man was caught on camera stealing from my barbershop. Please help me share this video and identify him,” he wrote, urging residents to report any leads to the authorities.
Social media users quickly responded, with more than 20 people allegedly identifying a local Facebook user—said to be in the music industry—as the suspect.
This followed after they observed his face, which has a distinct forehead mark.
Owiti publicly named the individual and gave him a 24-hour ultimatum to return the stolen television, warning of further action.
“The suspect has been identified by over twenty people. You have 24 hours to return my belongings,” Owiti warned in his follow-up post.

Did the TV theft suspect respond to Owiti?
In response, the accused individual denied involvement, stating that he lives far from Ondiek and has no connection to the incident.
He announced plans to report the accusation to authorities, citing defamation and character assassination.
“Where I stay is very far from Ondiek. I will report this,” he stated.
He further challenged those accusing him to let the law take its course, insisting he is being wrongly targeted.
"This is Kenya. Most of the people who posted that video know me personally and know where I live—let them summon me if needed. Stop dragging my name into this. I’m not Fred’s manager. If you truly believe I’m the one involved, file a report and let the law handle it," he added.
