The suspect, identified as Stephen Onserio, reportedly told his children that their mother, Evelyne Nyaboke, had travelled and that she would be back.

The grim discovery was made after Onserio was seen wandering around the village with his two-year-old child.

He reportedly looked unsettled, causing the neighbours to be concerned. They also became more intrigued when they noticed that the Onserio's wife had been missing for days.

The only people the suspect was seen with were his two children, causing neighbours to confront him and ask about Nyaboke.

Onserio did not provide a satisfactory answer, causing the concerned neighbours to follow him home.

Upon arriving, they noticed a strong stench that caused them to demand that Onserio open the door. What followed next was a scene that left the neighbours speechless.

They found pieces of meat in the house, some were raw and others were cooked. This is when the man confessed to killing his wife and cooking her flesh.
