Is Jayne Kihara fighting Nakuru DCP officials?

“I have done many meetings in Nakuru to build the party, and we have witnessed tremendous growth in the party’s popularity because of the strategies we deployed. Many people have embraced the party and I laud the party leader Rigathi Gachagua for honouring me with this responsibility, aware that I come from a minority community,” he said.

Nasieku claimed that the onslaught against him is because of his firm commitment to free and fair nomination of DCP candidates.

He claimed some individuals within the party have been engaging the aspirants directly and extorting them to get favourable consideration in the party tickets.

“I am being fought because I stood firm. Some of the aspirants have been asked to give out money behind the scenes by certain individuals to get direct tickets in 2027. It's regrettable, but I will not keep calm while such theatrics take place in a party we are trying to live by the ideals of democracy it envisages,” the DCP official said.

According to Nasieku, all the other communities in the cosmopolitan county of Nakuru should have a space in the party.

“I am pleading with my party leader to protect me from the vicious battle waged against my role in this party. I have worked for the party, I have stood with the party leader and I am worried the in fights is unfortunate to us,” he said.

Other interim DCP officials in Nakuru include Thuo Mathenge, who is the county chairperson and Treasurer John Murage, the treasurer, all of whom Nasieku alleged are being frustrated by individuals he described as busybodies.
