A video showing the wreckage that was left behind after a plane crashed in Mwihoko has gone viral.

The tragic incident happened on Thursday, August 7, at around 2 pm.
The accident scene was characterised by metal debris and what appeared to be human remains of the casualties of the fatal crash.
Fire and smoke were also witnessed at the scene after the plane exploded following the impact of the crash.
People were also heard screaming as they tried to rescue whatever they could from the houses that were hit by the plane.
"Leteni maji! Leteni maji! You kindly move, move. Are there people inside there?" one man was heard shouting.
A large crowd was seen gathered around the accident scene, watching probably in disbelief at the aftermath of the deadly crash.
First responders were also seen helping in the rescue mission to retrieve the bodies of the casualties.
How many people have died from Mwihoko plane crash?
According to the African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF), at least six bodies have been recovered so far from the scene as rescue operations continue.
The casualties were established to be two doctors, two nurses and residents who were on the ground at the time of the incident.
Police officers, the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), and the Kenya Red Cross personnel are already at the scene.
Was the AMREF chopper headed to Somalia?
In a statement dated Thursday, August 7, the AMREF flying doctors confirmed that one of its aircraft, a Cessna Citation XLS, registration 5Y-FDM, was involved in the crash.
AMREF stated that the plane was coming from Wilson Airport and was heading to Hargeisa, Somalia, before crashing in Mwihoko.

The cause of the plane crash was yet to be established at the time, but AMREF affirmed its commitment to finding the root cause of the incident.
"At this time, we are cooperating fully with relevant aviation authorities and emergency response teams to establish the facts surrounding the situation. Our immediate focus is on the safety and well-being of those on board and providing full support to their families and colleagues. We are also offering all necessary assistance to the authorities as investigations continue," the AMREF statement read in part.
They further asked for patience and understanding as they managed the situation with care and accuracy.
Eyewitness recounts how events unfolded?
People at the scene stated that the plane developed technical problems midair before it crashed into residential houses and burst into flames.
One resident stated that the plane appeared to struggle with descent before hitting the rooftops of nearby homes.
The aftermath was described as horrific, with plane parts scattered all over the place.
