The man who was bedridden after being involved in a previous accident was asleep when the tragedy happened, killing him instantly.

Wamuyu's husband had just survived a near-death ordeal after being involved in a grisly accident, only for him to be killed in another accident that came right at his doorstep.

The heartbroken woman struggled to hold back her tears when she recounted how she found out about the deadly incident.

"I received a phone call notifying me that a plane had crashed into the residential building that we lived in. I rushed home only to find that the aircraft had fallen right where my rented house was. Just next door, 12-year-old Yvonne Nasimiyu, who was at home preparing lunch for her siblings, also did not survive.

Yvonne, who was the eldest daughter of a single mother, has left her family grappling with the pain of losing her at a tender age.

"Everything I own is gone, my child is no more. I do not know where to start. I am a single mother," Mercy Nafula said amid tears.

Mercy stated that her child, Yvonne, had gone to the salon with her siblings but left when she instructed her to go make lunch.

The other two children remained behind; thus, their lives were spared from that single decision.

"When they started plaiting the elder daughter's hair, they asked the youngest to return home and prepare lunch as the others remained in the salon. While preparing lunch for the family, the crash occurred. It happened while my daughter was inside the house," the heartbroken mum said.
