Kisii Governor Simba Arati's Sister Is Dead, Burial Date Announced

ODM deputy party leader and Kisii governor Simba Arati is mourning the death of his sister, Isabella Robina Arati, who passed away in late July.

On Saturday, August 9, Hezbon Mochama, a youth leader, confirmed that a delegation of ODM officials from Kisii, led by county chairman Paul Momanyi Kabosi, visited Arati’s family to offer condolences.

“Today, Kisii team led by ODM chairman Paul Momanyi Kabos visited the family of Simba Arati, who lost his sister Robina. Pole sana governor," he said.

When will Simba Arati's sister be buried?

The ODM party also announced her death and confirmed that she will be laid to rest on Sunday, August 10, at her farm in Isinya, Kajiado county, next to Entarakwet Hotel.

"As a party, we stand with the Arati family during this period of grief,” ODM stated, commiserating with their deputy leader over the loss.
"Burial is scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, August 10, at her farm in Isinya, Kajiado county, next to Entarakwet Hotel," the party added.

The cause of her death was, however, not made public.

In other news, former Kisii gubernatorial aspirant Bishop Emeritus Josiah Onyancha and his wife, Hellen Onyancha, died in a tragic road accident along the Kisii–Narok Highway.

The couple was travelling to their son’s graduation ceremony at Mount Kenya University when the accident occurred.

Nominated senator Essy Okenyuri expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing it as a devastating blow to the community.
