Enock Andanje: UDA Mourns Death of Malava Aspirant, Pay Him Emotional Tribute

President William Ruto led the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), has joined Kenyans in mourning the death of Enock Adanje.

Did UDA pay an emotional tribute to Adanje?

In a statement dated Friday, August 15, the UDA secretary general, Omar Hassan, paid an emotional tribute to the political aspirant.

He termed Andanje as a dedicated servant of the people, a voice for the vulnerable, and a true believer in the empowerment of his community.

"The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) family mourns the untimely passing of our Malava Constituency aspirant, Mr Enock Andanje, who collapsed and died today while attending a Widows' Empowerment Forum in Kakamega County," he said.
"Enock's passion for uplifting the lives of widows, orphans, and youth was evident in his tireless work on the ground," he added.

Void in UDA after Andanje's death

Omari further stated that the party had lost a brother and a patriot who had nothing but the best intentions for the people of Malava constituency.

"His death leaves a deep void in our party and in the hearts of the people he served," he said.

The party secretary general further condoled with the family, friends, supporters and the people of Malava Constituency as they struggled to come to terms with the difficult reality.

How did Enock Andanje die?

According to a statement issued by the Prime Cabinet secretary, Musalia Mudavadi, Andaje collapsed and died on Friday, August 15, in Bulupi, West Kabras in Kakamega county.

Mudavadi, who was already at the widow's empowerment forum, told the attendees that he had just received a message notifying him of what had happened to Andanje.

This announcement caused the entire crowd to be shocked and in disbelief as the late political aspirant was expected to address them.

Andanje had reportedly experienced weakness in his feet, making it hard for him to alight.

Following this, he was rushed to the hospital in an attempt to resuscitate him, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead.

The cause of Andanje's death was yet to be revealed, but local authorities stated that a post-mortem would be conducted on him to determine the exact cause of his death

The political aspirant had taken an early retirement as a teacher in a bid to pursue his political ambition of serving as Malava's Member of Parliament.
