According to North Ugenya Location Chief George Francis Osoro, the late Monday, August 18 night incident unfolded when Modesta entered the bathroom and accidentally touched a live cable.

Citizen Digital reports that she was instantly incapacitated, prompting her husband, who was brushing his teeth close by, to rush to her aid, but he was also fatally struck by the current.

"At around 7am I got a call from one of the security guys telling me that an incident had happened the previous night at a plot known as Leonadus Bar and Restaurant along the highway. They said there are tenants living there who were struck by electricity and died," Osoro stated.

Neighbours who heard screams from the homestead rushed in but found the couple lifeless within the compound.
