He relatives insist her death was no accident and believe she was murdered before her body was set ablaze.

The incident reportedly occurred on the evening of Monday, August 11, leaving behind disturbing questions that remain unanswered nearly two weeks later.

Family members said Mbone’s body was discovered inside her boyfriend’s house, propped against the wall in a position they argue suggests she had been killed prior to the fire.

Her sister, Caroline Mbobe, described the horrific scene, insisting that everything points to her being murdered.

"I found my sister placed in a corner as if she had been killed first and then set on fire. Because the house itself had not burned, but her body was completely burned to the point that she could not be recognised. Up to now, the police are yet to arrest any suspect or unravel the mystery behind my sister’s death," her sister Caroline recounted

Who are the suspects in Jackline Mbone's death?

Relatives have linked tensions in Mbone’s relationship to her death with Yusuf Osofia, a close family member, revealing she was not fully accepted in her boyfriend’s home.

"I once bumped into her boyfriend’s brother, who told me she was not welcome in their home, especially by their father. The deceased and the old man were not on good terms," Osofia alleged.

He went further to say that on the day of the incident, only Mbone’s boyfriend and his father were in the compound. Neither has reached out to the family since the tragedy.
