An unidentified man from Kitengela, Kajiado county, has been captured by CCTV reportedly stealing a valuable item.

The woman was selling footwear alongside other items like bottled water in the small shop, as shown in the CCTV footage that later went viral.

The video shows the man conversing with the woman, who was arranging some bags.
He bent down to look through the glass shelf, seemingly checking for any valuables, which he appeared to confirm through his reactions.
He told the woman he was looking for shoes and confirmed the sizes, prompting her to check.

She picked up a white pair and asked again which shoe size he was looking for.
He responded but then briefly stepped outside, saying he needed to confirm the size, as the woman waited.
She looked surprised when he swiftly left, glancing around to see where he had gone while still holding the pair of shoes.
She paused for a moment, unsure whether to return the shoes or leave them on the table, but eventually decided to put them back.

The woman had bent over to continue sorting shoes and was unaware of what had just happened behind her.
Without waiting for her to stand or turn around, the man dashed out of the stall, having accomplished his mission.
The clip ends with the woman standing up but not yet realizing the man had left or checking the shoes she had handed him.
