A father of three from Siaya county is appealing for help to raise KSh 450,000 for a spinal realignment surgery.

Erick Odhiambo Suji told TUKO.co.ke that he became paralysed in 2018, despite not having suffered an accident or any physical injury.
“I had a serious headache that lasted the entire day. I went to bed still feeling unwell, and when I woke up, I couldn’t move my body from the waist down was paralysed,” he said.
What happened to Erick Odhiambo?
Suji explained that doctors told him there’s a possibility he sustained an injury years earlier, which only manifested later.
He shared that he has spent years in and out of hospital undergoing physiotherapy, and has even tried alternative treatments, but with little improvement.
“The doctors recommended spinal realignment surgery because my condition hasn’t changed. I even tried traditional medicine, but I still can’t walk,” he said.
As of now he supports himself with a locally made walker which helps him stand or move a little.

Where will spinal surgery be performed?
The father of three said the surgery is scheduled to take place at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching & Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) in Kisumu county.
Due to his condition, Suji is unable to work and provide for his family as he once did.
“I survive by the grace of God. It hasn’t been easy, but I’m hopeful the surgery will give me a new lease of life,” he said.
The total cost of the procedure is KSh 450,000, an amount Suji says he cannot raise on his own. He is now calling on Kenyans of goodwill and well-wishers to support him.

UoN student seeks help to raise KSh 61k fees
In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported that a 24-year-old student from the University of Nairobi requested help to raise KSh 61,400 for school fees.
Stephen Okoth said he is currently on holiday and chose not to return to his village in Homa Bay so that he could hustle in Nairobi to save money for tuition and accommodation.
Stephen appealed for financial support or a job opportunity in any field to help him meet his needs, even while in school.
Who cleared school fees for Kericho student
TUKO.co.ke also reported that a young woman from Kericho asked for help to raise KSh 125,850 in school fees.
Purity Taa received overwhelming support from Kenyans of goodwill and a generous well-wisher, which enabled her to sit for her final exams.
She received a total of KSh 80,850 from Kenyans online and the remaining KSh 45,000 from Levy Kachilei.
