In one of his past interviews, now resurfacing after his death, KK admitted he was briefly confused when his viral video drew attention.
He jokingly recalled that he even questioned his mother about his true paternity, as the resemblance to Gachagua was uncanny.
"When the video went viral, many insisted that Rigathi is my father. I even got confused for a moment, thinking it might be true. I called my mother and asked her, ‘Are you sure that my father is really my father? Have you ever been to Nyeri?" said KK.
Did KK Mwenyewe meet Rigathi Gachagua?
As Kenyans on social media mourned and sent messages of condolences to the late comedian's family, some expressed deep regret that he never met the former deputy president.
Having most of his content tailored around Gachagua, many hoped he would get the chance to meet him someday, only for the cruel hands of death to take him.
"KK Mwenyewe had a rare gift, using humor to bring light and laughter even in challenging times. His impersonations didn’t just entertain; they held up a mirror to society with wit and honesty. Losing him is a great loss for comedy and for all who found joy in his work. I just wish Gachagua met him. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire future storytellers," said Eveleen Mitei.
What did KK Mwenyewe post last before death?
In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported that the comedian last shared a hilarious video on July 4 before disappearing from social media.
In the skit, KK played the role of a job seeker with good grades and confidently shared his achievements.
However, he walked out of the interview, saying there was no need to proceed after he was asked to take a drug test.
Many questioned how life is fragile and how no one questioned that a once consistent content creator was not sharing content until news of his death emerged online.
