He termed the recognition as a great milestone in his political career.

"I am deeply honoured and humbled to receive the Bobea Leadership Award as Political Party Best Youth Leader. This recognition is not just a personal milestone but a testament to the power of youth leadership and the collective spirit of young people in Kenya," Mundalo stated.

Mundalo further stated that serving as a leader in the Jubilee party has been a journey rooted in a belief that effective communication and genuine engagement can transform communities and shape the future of the country.

Advice Mundalo's message to Uhuru Kenyatta

Additionally, he expressed his gratitude to the Jubilee party leader, Uhuru Kenyatta, for entrusting him with a leadership role in the party.

"I am grateful to former President H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta for the trust placed in me to champion youth representation and to amplify the voices of young people who are eager to contribute to governance and national development," he added.

Mundalo stated that the award he received is proof that unity, collaboration and determination can create a meaningful impact.

"I accept this award on behalf of every young person striving to be heard and to make a difference. Let us continue to lead with purpose, innovate with passion, and build a future where the youth are not just the leaders of tomorrow but the leaders of today," he said.

He concluded by expressing his gratitude to Bobea, stating that recognising him was an incredible honour.

Mundalo stated that a leader can still be recognised without unnecessary controversy or resorting to populist ideologies for attention

Advice Mundalo defends Ruto's apology to Gen Z

Mundalo's recognition comes weeks after he defended President William Ruto's apology to Gen Z, saying it showed goodwill and sincerity.

Speaking during the National Breakfast, the head of state asked for forgiveness from the youth over the troubling events that occurred during the June 25 anniversary of the Gen Z protests.

A section of Kenyans, including political leaders, questioned the sincerity of Ruto's apology, but Mundalo supported him.

Mundalo argued that political leaders hardly make public apologies; thus, Ruto's efforts to do so in public should be respected.
