A home's Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) footage showing a thief getting confused in the middle of a break-in has gone viral.

The incident, shared on TikTok by Tamie Media, left many wondering whether it was the man’s first time attempting a robbery or if he had heard something that scared him off.

In the viral clip, the thief dressed in a baggy hoodie and black trousers is seen tiptoeing around the compound of a bungalow.

How did man break into bungalow?

He moves cautiously past what appears to be a garage door, holding something in one hand, presumably a weapon.

As he reached the terrace, he crouched down and slowly approached the main door.

When he got closer to the brownish glass door, he suddenly began looking around nervously, as if he had heard or sensed something.

Still crouched by the door, he glanced back and sideways before briefly standing up to peep through the glass.

Then, without warning, he crouched again and bolted from the scene as if something had spooked him. He fled through the same route he had used to enter the compound.

Interestingly, no one came out of the house in the video, and the only audible sounds were barking dogs echoing in the dark of night.

His abrupt escape sparked hilarious reactions from netizens, who flooded the comments section with theories and jokes.
