Samuel Kamande's humanitarian side came out following a heartbreaking moment that moved him deeply.

He was determined to change the boy's life, as the young student's condition reminded him of his own struggles growing up.
Kamande asks schoolboy to follow him
"I just met a random boy coming from school, and the bag he was carrying said it all, he desperately needed a new one.
Books were barely hanging on, almost falling out. Don’t even ask about the zip; it wasn’t functional at all. This boy reminded me so much of my struggles growing up," Kamande shared in his post.
He was ready and willing to help the young boy in any way he could, hoping to restore his dignity and bring back his smile.
Kamande asked the young boy to follow him, and the boy obediently did so, expecting to receive something.

"I simply asked him to follow me to my kadudu. I took out my laptop and a few belongings from my bag and handed it to him.
So when you hear me raising my voice about the government's misplaced priorities, understand that I know what it truly feels like to lack," Kamande added.
He also shared a photo of the boy's worn-out bag and the books he carried in it.
Several other bags were seen in the back of Kamande's car, as shown in the photo, which also revealed the vehicle's cleanliness.

The heartwarming gesture touched the hearts of many social media users, who flooded the comments section with reactions:
Jill Ma Shamim:
"You know what I like about our communal living? You don't have to ask for permission to help a child."
Priscah Musyoka:
"How I passionately love people who care about the less fortunate. May you never lack, mkuu."
Nyamari:
"Education is the only way a poor child can break the yoke of poverty. They can mess with everything else, but when it comes to education, that's where they go wrong."
Macy Joy Benjamin:
"You had to announce it so we know you helped with a bag. If it was school fees, would you still have posted it?"
Jane Muchiri:
"May the blessings of God follow you as you continue doing His work."
Euny Muchai:
"If a parent can’t afford a bag that costs less than KSh 1,000, how will they afford school fees in the thousands? 😭😭😭 Be blessed, sir. Many of us only managed an education thanks to free schooling during President Kibaki’s time. Tell Kasongo not to provoke us."
