Miss Pee shared a video on her TikTok account showing the house she was about to vacate.
She documented her act of retaliation in detail, expressing just how angry she was about the situation.
How did tenant take revenge on landlord
The young woman turned on all the taps in the house—starting with the kitchen and bathroom.
She blocked the sinks so the water would overflow and flood the rooms, doing the same for the bathroom basin.
Miss Pee revealed she left the taps running and travelled to her village, fully aware that the house would flood in her absence.
In a follow-up video, she showcased her new apartment and warned that she would do the same again if her new landlord ever refused to refund her deposit.

Netizens react after tenant takes revenge on landlord
While some online supported her actions, others warned such behaviour could lead to lawsuits and criminal charges, especially for property damage.
Moss:
“I won’t teach you everything. Go to a cyber café and print posters that say ‘House to Let’ with the landlord’s number. Then, at night, go and paste them on a roadside sign where it says No poster fine KSh 80,000. Let KeNHA (Kenya National Highways Authority) take it from there.”
Cammi Shisk Eve:
“My best friend moved into a house that was overgrown with grass. She renovated it, installed tiles, and fixed the water system. After about three months, the landlord said he wanted the house back because his son had returned, and he wouldn’t refund the deposit. We ate ugali, packed up, and dismantled what we could.”
Mercy:
“I poured cement into the toilet bowl and the sink, guess what? It blocked the entire estate’s plumbing system.”
Noor Vibes:
“They refused to refund my KSh 16,000 deposit. I went and bought 2kg of cement, mixed it properly, and poured it into the toilet. I then climbed to the rooftop at night and punctured all the water tanks. I left everything like that and disappeared the next morning.”
Waithera Kinuthia:
“As a landlady, I can sue you for this. And as a tenant, just leave the house clean and sue the landlord if they refuse to refund you. My advice: if you’re planning to move out, don’t pay the final month’s rent, let the deposit cover it.”
Neyo:
“I locked the inner lock of the kitchen and threw the keys in the toilet. I locked the bathroom and placed the keys in the ceiling of the bedroom. Then I locked the bedroom and put those keys in the ceiling of the living room, leaving only the living room door open. Let’s see how much the landlord will spend fixing that.”
How to recover rental deposit from landlord
Information shared by Njaga and Co. Advocates shows that by general contract and tenancy principles, a landlord must refund a security deposit at the end of a lease.
This is unless there are legitimate, itemised deductions such as unpaid rent or damages beyond normal wear and tear after the tenant vacates.
There are also legal pathways for recovering the deposit, as the Small Claims Court can handle disputes over the deposit.
Why did Kiambu landlord removes tenant’s door?
In other news, TUKO.co.ke reported that a woman from Kinoo in Kiambu county and her baby were left out in the cold after their landlord removed the door to their house.
Maureen Kwamboka said her husband had lost his job and had been trying to pay the rent in instalments while requesting more time, but the landlord refused.
As a result, the landlord sent his agent to remove the door until she paid the KSh 3,500 rent arrears.
Racheal Nyaguthie, HoD Human Interest, added details on how to recover the deposit.
