TikTok user Esther Alex took to her account to narrate the incident, which happened in the office lift as employees were returning from lunch.

Unaware that she was in the presence of her CEO, she started a casual conversation with him.

“Tomorrow I am getting fired, guys. I met my CEO in the lift. All of us were going back to our offices after lunch. So with my Gen Z life and culture, I told the CEO, ‘Niaje bro (How are you, brother?).’ The CEO replied, ‘Niaje, Esther (What’s up, Esther)',” she said, bursting into laughter.

Esther offers CEO fries in lift

Esther asked the CEO if he was hungry and even offered him her fries, an offer he surprisingly accepted.

She said he took a bite of the fries as they continued their conversation in the lift.

“We alighted from the lift, and I told him, ‘We’ll see each other later, bro.’ When I sat down, that’s when it hit me that I was speaking to the CEO. Goodness me! Tomorrow I see myself getting that email. How do I tell the CEO, ‘What’s up bro?’ And he laughed? I’ve also never heard him speak Kiswahili. This is the first time I’ve heard him speak Kiswahili. It’s an achievement, but at the same time…” she said as she held her waist.

She hilariously pleaded with netizens to help her find another job.

Kenyans react to Esther's video
