The man said the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) classes of 2016 and 2017 should take advantage of Matiang'i's presidential bid because they sat for tough exams during his tenure as the education boss.
In a funny video circulating online, the former student recalled how tough the KCSE exams in those years were, adding that it was finally payback time, by denying him their vote.

We wanted to pass those exams, but we did not. Now that you are going for the presidency, malipo ni hapa hapa duniani," the man said.

What measures did Matiang'i introduce when he was Education CS?
During his time as the Education CS, Matiang'i introduced a raft of measures to curb cheating in the national exams.
He began by banning mass prayers and school visiting days in the third term, which is when KCSE exams are held.
In October of 2016, the ministry announced that the KCSE exams would be supervised by the county commissioners, and not the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) supervisors.
He also prohibited supervisors and invigilators from using their phones in the exam room and sanctioned the installation of CCTVs.
