The CEO denied claims that she had been excommunicated from her church following the circulation of a malicious video.

“We have become aware of a malicious and defamatory video currently circulating on TikTok, targeting the personal reputation of our Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Ruth Wanjiku Gacheru, with ill-intentioned narratives aimed at misleading the public and damaging her character.

Was Baraka Smiles CEO suspended from church?

TUKO.co.ke learned through a credible source within the company that allegations of Wanjiku being excommunicated from her church were false.

The businesswoman was allegedly suspended from the house of worship due to an alleged affair.

Baraka Smiles launch campaign

In another story, the foundation launched an ambitious “1 Million Healthy Smiles Campaign,” aimed at providing essential dental care to less privileged communities.

During the campaign, the foundation sought to raise KSh 50 billion address the widespread dental health challenges in the country.

The initiative aimed to reach all 47 counties by 2027, targeting the elderly, children, and other disadvantaged groups.

Wanjiku told TUKO.co.ke that the effects of poor oral hygiene extend beyond dental pain.

She noted that its consequences include low self-esteem, poor overall well-being, and impaired speech, stressing the urgency to act.
