The family of Shawn Victor Were was devastated after they received the autopsy results of the young boy who died at school.

The son of Irene Karimi and Moses Ochieng was a pupil at Red Hill Baraka School in Gachie. On February 21, 2025, Shawn's mum was asked to go and pick her sick son up from school; he was unwell and speaking incoherently.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Shawn's auntie called Tsheri claimed that she had received dozens of calls and texts from witnesses around 'Shamuka' Road, and they pointed out to utter negligence. Some people said Shawn was lethargic from the run, and his mouth was so dry. Apparently, he was writhing in pain or discomfort and members of the public advised the teacher to take Shawn to hospital but he brushed it off.

2. Nairobi Woman Who Squandered KSh 200k Chama Money Jailed for 3 Years: "Naogopa Kuzalia Huku"

Dorothy Katulu is a 27-year-old woman who was jailed for three years because of using KSh 200,000 to bet, yet it belonged to her chama members.

Dorothy, who is pregnant, was employed in the printing industry at the Ndaragwa building. A chama she formed with her friends raised a lot of money each year, and they shared it every December.

In 2024, they saved KSh 2.1 million, and Dorothy was in charge of distributing the money. She held onto KSh 200,000 for some members, but she used it and landed at Lang'ata Women's Prison for three years.

3. Trans Nzoia: Makutano Ward MCA Faces Backlash for Tarmacking Dilapidated Road

A road in Makutano Ward, Trans Nzoia, sparked a debate among residents, with a section of the crowd saying the area MCA had misplaced priorities.

While many applauded the infrastructure which had been improved, others said that the millions spent should have been allocated to bursaries; apparently, many students remained at home because of school fee arrears.

The controversy reignited a lot of discussions on whether leaders should give priority to roads or education

A three-year-old little girl tragically died at school under baffling circumstances, leaving her mum in a lot of pain.

The school alleged that the child fainted, but a source alleged that a teacher struck her on the head because she was crying too much.

After learning of the death, the grieving mother started demanding justice, accountability, and the truth about the incident that caused her daughter's death.
