Apuoyo Biggy has spent the past 15 years dedicating his life to supporting the less fortunate and is currently the guardian to 17 orphans at his home.
How long has Apuoyo been philanthropist
In a post on Facebook, he disclosed that he has been in and out of the hospital over the years but is now grounded due to deteriorating health.
He shared a photo of his legs wrapped in plaster, narrating how difficult it has become for him to move around.

Despite his condition, he continues to care for the children under his wing—a responsibility he describes as a divine calling.
“For a very long time—15 years—I have been helping needy people in many ways. I believe it is a call from God,” Silas shared in a heartfelt message. “Through His grace, I’ve supported many individuals in various ways. But now, I am sick and grounded.”

Apuoyo is now appealing to well-wishers, friends, and anyone touched by his story to support him in seeking better medical treatment.
He hopes to take a short break to focus on his health and, once recovered, continue sharing the good deeds he and his supporters have accomplished over the years.

Philanthropist Wanja Mwaura hospitalised in Israel
Away from Apuoyo Biggy, another renowned philanthropist who has been ailing is Wanja Mwaura.
For many years, Wanja was a celebrated philanthropist who went out of her way to solicit support for the needy.
Everything changed when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis—a condition where the immune system attacks the nervous system.
Wanja, who is now confined to a wheelchair, is currently at a hospital in Israel seeking KSh 2.5 million for treatment to enable her to walk again.
